Theseus’s City

My father had a meeting with a large timber company in the state relating to his business. The timber men took him to the site of the former town of Crandall, located on a small bluff overlooking the St. Mary’s River. They had told him that it had once been a happening town, apparently. The town had been organized by the landowner of the time as the center for timbering in the area. When the virgin pine was all gone by the mid-1930s, it was sold to the current owner.
